Paid It All

To the laptop I go with coffee in hand to talk about what is on my mind today. I am a person that has a mind that does not like to wind down. My only problem is I am one who can think things but is hard to put in in writing or in a way to make others understand me. As they say, we are made one of a kind and boy oh boy did God make me a one of kind!! I am one who will give you a whole story instead of just answering a simple yes or no, which brings me to my next story.

I was driving home from work last night and listening to KLOVE radio. Did I ever mention that KLOVE is my favorite radio station? Well anyway, they were talking with a lady that was telling them about how she paid for a fellow golfer to play. The golfer did not know the lady really but because she had forgotten her money to play, the lady said she would pay for it. The fellow golfer had looked at her I guess with unbelief that someone would pay without knowing her. Long story short the fellow golfing buddy did pay the lady back but with extra.

When I was listening to this story it reminded me of Jesus and His love for us. Jesus went to the cross and shed His blood for us. In other words, let me pay for you! He gave His life for us so that we may have life and the only cost is give our hearts to Him. Yes, God sent His son Jesus to die on a cross to save a wretched like me and you. He went to the cross to pay for our debts of sin that we have committed. A person cannot replace getting into Heaven by doing good works, giving money, helping, and loving others. You must believe that He was born of man, went to the cross dying for us and then rising again.

John 6:53-56 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

This is in a spiritual meaning and not a physical. For us to have the gift of eternal life we must believe in Christ. God has given us the gift of grace. Salvation to sinners who will trust and believe. We must repent from our sinful ways and believe with all our hearts that Jesus died and rose for us. We will fall as humans but because Faith in Jesus and asking Him for forgiveness and turning away from that sin, He will forgive us and give us new hearts and minds with a future of eternal life with Him in Heaven. So, as you see Jesus in other words said, “Here, let me pay for it.” Oh, what a wonderful feeling to know he paid for me because he loved me so much!

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
